Barry Gavan

Barry was a loving, kind and considerate person. He had a great interest in cattle, machinery and farming. He was always ready to help his parents, his neighbours and his many friends. Like his other mates he acquired a motorbike and got to know bikers throughout Ireland. He loved repairing bikes and one could see as many as 10 to 12 bikers at our house checking and repairing their bikes for a ‘run’

On Sunday 20th October 1991, on his way home from a ‘run’ he was accidentally killed in a collision with a broken down and unlit lorry at Stonebridge, Co. Monaghan.

We love and miss you always Barry, may you rest in peace.
