Noel Swift

Noel arrived in Clones from Lancashire in 2000 with a motorbike and a mobile home. Most remembered him fondly as an early hippy, a happy traveller who was happiest perched on his motorbike cruising the Irish countryside. He loved Ireland, most familiar with its northern territory. He made friends easily, created many memories over a pint in Treanor's bar, particularly enjoying Mary's cake made for his 70th in the shape of a motorbike. Noel loved life, and fought hard in his battle against lung cancer. He stayed outdoors, spent time with his family and friends, and took the love of his life, his motorbike out for a date each and every day. He died surrounded by his family in hospital after six short weeks of illness. He is remembered fondly as an adventurous, hearty, tanned and bearded biker by all his loved ones. Noel is buried in Aghadrumsee.

Rest in Peace
